White & Wong's

My first experience with White + Wongs in Auckland's viaduct was a phone call in the morning to change a reservation a friend had made. I wasn't really expecting someone to answer but thought I would try my luck. Someone did answer the phone, were really helpful and made a new reservation for me. Immediately I was impressed with their service. When we arrived at the restaurant we were impressed with the entrance itself. It was really intriguing and the awesome sign out front created a bit of ...

Bardeaux

The Bardeaux in Queenstown exceeded all of my expectations. Queenstown has a great selection of bars and restaurants, but this one would have to be a favourite. I couldn't recommend it enough to anyone who is interested in enjoying a relaxing evening out with some friends. We decided to visit the Bardeaux for some cocktails and a platter and we were blown away by both. Just looking at the Bardeaux from the outside it is inviting but wait till you get inside. When we first arrived I immediately...

Mount Brewing Company

For anyone who's living or visiting the Mount and is looking to grab a few drinks and eat some good food, the Mount Brewing Co. is the place to go. I loved my experience at this bar and restaurant and would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy some causal drinks and a meal with friends. Look at the venue from the outside it's tidy and clean and has a great rustic vibe to it. When we walked in the atmosphere was really welcoming and the staff were all really friendly. We were greeted by a sta...

Spotlight - Manukau City

A happy valued customer. I think we've all been to Spotlight at least once in our lives. It's the place to go to buy anything craft and fabric related. On my most recent trip to Spotlight in Manakau, I couldn't have been more impressed with the store, and the customer service. The building was clean and warm, and the signage was excellent. In big stores like Spotlight, it can take some time to find what you want, but all the different departments were identifiable and I could have easily fo...

The Roaming Giant

High expectations exceeded. I had set some high expectations before visiting The Roaming Giant in Hamilton East, and I can say that it exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed with all aspects of our dining experience, and would happily visit again. Upon arriving at the Roaming Giant we noticed how clean and inviting the outside of the building looked which gave us a great first impression. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a very friendly staff member who steered us i...

KILT - Clothing Boutique

A lasting impact These days if a retail store just has clothes, accessories and some music playing, it's not likely to have a lasting impact. A great shopping experience needs to please all the senses. It's just as much about the atmosphere as it is about the clothing and accessories. Kilt in Taupo provided a dream shopping experience. It didn't need to be extravagant because of the beautiful subtle features that made the whole experience really enjoyable. As soon as I walked into the sto...

Foundation -Bar - Kitchen - Lounge

Foundation Bar Hamilton a worthy addition to INCOGNITO'S "Best of the Best" What a pleasant surprise dining at Foundation Bar was. I thought I had it all figured out before going, a very large, modern bar/restaurant with prominent signage, located at The Base. This was going to be average at best…at least that's what I thought. When we arrived the restaurant was already reasonably full and had a nice buzz to the atmosphere, good for a Monday night. As we were led to our table I noticed the i...

Smith & McKenzie

Smith & McKenzie has been around a while in Hamilton, over 6 years in fact and has won various awards, most notably it was recently awarded best restaurant in New Zealand. It was no surprise then that the restaurant was already full when we arrived for dinner. Despite the busyness we were warmly welcomed and enjoyed attentive, prompt service the entire evening. The restaurant or Chophouse as it calls itself, specialises in premium quality, aged steaks but also offers a great selection o...

Five Stags Cambridge Waikato

Five Stags Leamington 9 Campbell St Leamington Cambridge Five Stags Leamington opened in 2012, the first of four in New Zealand and a welcome addition to the Cambridge dining scene. It was our first visit to this restaurant for my partner & I and we were looking forward to trying out this restaurant based on good feedback we had heard. We arrived early and found that there was plenty of convenient parking right outside the door. Since we had time, we decided to have a drink at the bar b...
